Venomous by Christie Wilcox

Venomous: How Earth's Deadliest Creatures Mastered Biochemistry - Christie Wilcox

Parts of this book were really interesting but I wasn't enthralled throughout. I also found some of the discussion of fitness and evolution to be irksome and over-simplified. Or maybe I missed the point. I only noticed one instance of Wilcox giving a physical description of another scientist but the text itself felt somewhat meandering and I didn't find all of the asides and anecdotes interesting.

So I guess this book may not really have been for me, but others may love it. Oh, and there were a few diagrams in the book but mostly they weren't very useful because they were hard to read even though I had the hardcover print version.
