A new immersive VR technology is being used to help people overcome their psychological hangups by giving them traumatic experiences (e.g. bring estranged sisters closer together by making them live through nightmarish scenarios) and a journalist is doing a write-up of Dr. Webb and her setup. The journalist decides to experience it for herself and something goes wrong, naturally. This novella focused far too much on schoolgirl experiences for my taste and the programming references didn't ring true for the supposed time period. So it was ok, but I probably would have dropped it if it weren't so short.
I read this because I'm on the boolikes-opoly Just Visiting Jail square and I needed to read at least 100 pages. The novella is 112 pages and I'm donating them to the Jail Library.
