Series: Sirantha Jax #1
I quite liked the sassy character of Sirantha Jax and I was enjoying myself and thinking this might be a four-star book despite some of awkwardness I found when some of the characters’ backstories were revealed…until almost the two thirds mark, where it seemed to start to go off the rails. Some of the transitions felt abrupt and let’s just say that I didn’t like everything that happened.

I was getting over it somewhat but then the plot turned into some more eyebrow raising events which did eventually get at least partially explained away, but the ending felt downright cheesy and convenient. Very convenient.

It certainly wasn’t a bad book, but it didn’t live up to the promise of its earlier chapters.
