I was originally planning on using this book as the "Free" square for the Halloween Bingo since it's a mystery and I already have the mystery genre square, but the murder takes place on a dark and stormy night (well, there was a storm although it didn't last all night), so I don't see why I can't use it for that square instead. This leaves the Free square still open for Wicked and lets me use Maskerade for the Witches square.
So far it hasn't left me with a very favourable impression of its law enforcement, at last in the person of Constable Grouch (p32):
"Umph," he said. "Shot through the head. No chance of it being suicide, I suppose?"
The Vicar pointed to the bullet holes in the window.
Inspector Bigswell seems much better, but I found the passage above amusing.
