Why finish books when you can just start new ones?
(Seriously, I have nine listed as currently reading right now.)
Do I get to call Gaius Marius a special snowflake? So far he seems to fit the bill.
First impressions: this book manages to feel like it starts slowly while at the same time giving a sense of political undercurrents and tensions.
And thanks to whomever updated my edition info. Either I'm imagining things and there always was a description and I considered typing up my jacket text just for fun or the librarian elves have been at it again. I think the cover is of better quality too.
