Finally picked up The First Man in Rome!

The First Man in Rome - Colleen McCullough

The First Man in Rome is More Historical Than Fiction's September read.

Although a bit hefty at 780 pages, it's really not all that bad. I think it'll be a "read at home" book, though. I could carry it around but I probably won't.

There is a hundred-page glossary at the end, though, so my question to you all is: should I start with the glossary or just jump in?
